A simple four-stage process.
The user starts with a Bank Deposit into VALR, converts the ZAR Balance into USDT, then sends the USDT to the Address generated from the eMovly Account.

Set up VALR
Create the account, verify email, and complete identity verification.

Deposit ZAR
Pay VALR from your Bank using the exact banking details and unique reference.

Buy USDT
Use the ZAR balance inside VALR to buy USDT (Tether).

Withdraw to eMovly
Copy the eMovly address and send USDT using the Ethereum network.
Network accuracy matters!
The transfer must use the ETH / Ethereum (ERC-20) network because the eMovly wallet only supports USDT on that network. If you send USDT using a different network (like TRC-20), the funds won’t be received and may be lost.

Each step shows exactly what to do to complete every transaction correctly. Follow this guide closely; your screen may look slightly different, but the overall process remains the same.
Create your account
Launch VALR and choose Create Account. Enter your personal details exactly as they appear on your ID document.
Check: Use your real details because KYC verification checks them later and they must match exactly.
Add your login details
Enter your email address, create a strong password, accept the terms, then continue.
Check: Use a unique password. Do not reuse banking or email passwords.
Verify your email
Open the email sent by VALR, confirm your email address, then return to the App.
Check: Check spam or promotions folder if the email does not arrive.
Complete Identity Verification
Sign in and continue to verify your Identity. Have your Identity Document ready.
Check: Without KYC, buying and withdrawing digital asset may be restricted. Verification takes less than 5 minutes.
Open Wallets
From the VALR home screen, tap Wallets at the bottom to begin the ZAR deposit process.
Check: Wallets is where your ZAR and USDT balances are managed.
Select ZAR
Tap your ZAR / Rand wallet to open your Rand balance page.
Check: This is where you get the banking details for your deposit.
Tap Deposit
Choose Deposit on your ZAR wallet page.
Check: Do this before making the bank payment so you can confirm you’re using the correct transaction reference.
Copy Banking Details
Use VALR’s Fiat Deposit details: recipient, bank, account number, branch code, and your unique reference.
Check: Your unique reference is very important. Wrong reference can delay allocation.
Pay from your bank
In your banking app, pay the VALR beneficiary and paste your unique VALR reference into the beneficiary reference field.
Check: Only use a bank account in your own name. No ATM cash deposits or cheques.
Wait for ZAR balance
Once the EFT clears, your VALR balance updates and you can now buy USDT. Tap the Buy/Sell button at the bottom to start purchasing USDT.
Check: EFT deposits typically take 1–3 business days to clear. For faster processing, use your bank’s immediate payment option; funds usually reflect almost instantly, but a fee applies.
Buy USDT
Tap Buy, select USDT, pay with ZAR, enter the amount, review the order, and confirm.
Check: The rate changes with the market. Check the final USDT amount before confirming.
Start eMovly deposit
Log in to your eMovly account, open Deposit Funds, choose USDT, enter the amount you want to fund, and confirm.
Check: Make sure your deposit amount is slightly lower than your available USDT balance in VALR to allow for network fees during the transaction.
Confirm USDT asset
On the payment screen, select USDT. Make sure you only use the ETH (ERC-20) network, using any other network will result in lost funds.
Check: The asset and network must match what you withdraw from VALR.
Copy address and amount
Copy the eMovly USDT deposit address and the exact amount shown by the payment gateway.
Check: Do not type the address manually. Copy and paste only!
Open USDT Withdraw
Return to VALR, open your USDT wallet, and tap Withdraw.
Check: This sends USDT from VALR to your eMovly payment address.
Paste address and choose network
Paste the eMovly address, select Ethereum (ETH) as the withdrawal network, and enter the amount shown by eMovly.
Check: Wrong network can cause permanent loss. Match ETH/Ethereum exactly!
Confirm withdrawal
Review the address, network, amount, fee, and total. Tap Confirm Withdrawal and complete security approval.
Check: Save the transaction ID until your eMovly balance is credited.
